If your project wasn’t very comprehensive, you have still things to talk about. Why not share something you know about their target audience that influenced your approach? Your insight doesn’t have to be a never-heard-of-before-fact nor do you have to put down every miniscule detail of your research.

Explain the task your client approached you with, including the goal of your collaboration and the conditions. In a perfect world, we have no budgetary constraints, unlimited time, and all the freedom to create the best thing ever made but realistically, we have to work around certain factors. Defining the circumstances of your project helps illustrate why you did what you did. That’s an excellent way to demonstrate how you overcame challenges.
